I have troubles with an external HDD (Western D. Caviar Green 2 To) wich has become unusable since a week and that prevents windows boot 3 times out of 4 (black screen, or repair utility that never ends).

At the begining, after installing a new windows version and swapping some components, I lost the rights of consultation/modification on this HDD's files, and couldn't get it fixed entirely..
Lastly, it filled up itself (got from 500 Go to 10 Go of free space). And since, after a reboot, it doesn't respond at all anymore.

Can I do something by myself or should I send it to a specialist ?

Please help.
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
