Q&A: Why can't I remove these 'Deleted Apps'?

Apps on Box

Best Answer SeeMoreDigital , 07 April 2015 - 02:18 PM

Here ya go. Actually it is called removed Apps

Actually it's located within the 'Data Usage' area. Which, as the title suggests, is an 'information' tool that shows you how much data has been consumed by a particular Android application.

It's not an area where data is stored, so there's nothing in there to delete! Go to the full post

Can you somehow delete the deleted apps that are using so much memory in the background ?

I'm confused. When you delete an 'app' it is deleted and the memory it once occupied should be freed.

Or do you wish to delete 'disabled' apps? In any event, what are the names of of these apps?

Well, I installed some games only to find out they didn't work, so I deleted them. Now if I go into settings/advanced/storage and look to the right I notice "deleted Apps " eating up quite a lot of background memory. Is this affecting the box's performance ? If so can I purge it ? Or is it nothing to worry about.

Did you "DELETE" them or "UNINSTALL" them?

Sorry, the correct terminology would be uninstalled but they go to a location called "deleted Apps".

Hey Vulcan,

I just checked my VMC, same version as you, and I cannot seem to find the 'Deleted Apps' subsection you are talking about. Could you please upload a screen shot?

I use Android Tuner Pro on my phone, tablet and VidOn Box to regularly clean the cache and also fully delete all components of apps once I uninstall them from my device. For now, I would suggest using an app like that to keep your devcie running smooth.

In the meantime, please upload a screenshot because I would like to see what you are seeing in VMC.

Joe
