Wanting to control xbmc with your smartphone or tablet? Today I will teach you how to realize it.

Firstly, you need to install control app on your phone or tablet. Recommend you some apps:

VidOn Remote on Google Play or App Store

YATSE on Google Play for Android device

SYBU on App Store for iphone or ipad

Then we need to do some settings on xbmc.

Go to system -> Services -> webserver to choose Allow control of kodi via HTTP

Attached File  1.png   201.77KB   0 downloads

Then go to system -> Services -> Remote control to choose Allow programs on other system to control kodi

Attached File  2.png   202.28KB   0 downloads

Then go to system -> system info to check your IP address. Then begin to use the phone or tablet to control kodi.

Here is a video from XBMCONNECT to show you more details.

Yes, I've tried that, it's very hard to use on my phone. We are developing a different web remote, which can be used on any smartphone.

You can go to settings , addons , web interface , and install different web interface addons

And then instead of the default xbmc web interface you get better web iu

For example , chorus web interface addon is amazing , and optimized for mobile devices
